Discourse Analysis

“Discourse” is the term given to a unit of language that is longer than a sentence. In English Language, “discourse” refers to texts that are written or spoken.

An example of discourse could be: a transcript of a conversation, an advertisement, a letter, a speech (written or transcript) and more. The above tabs provide examples of discourse that could be used for analysis, as well as sample written commentaries responding to various pieces of discourse.
