Unit 1 – AOS2 – Outcome: Identify and describe types of language acquisition, and to discuss and investigate language acquisition in the context of linguistic theories.
For this Unit of Study, you can focus on language acquisition in children, or on language acquisition in second language adult learners. You must experience and interpret linguistic fieldwork, including data collection. This means you must choose an inquiry question, determine your participants, obtain consent, collect your data, maintain appropriate ethics, interpret your data and present your findings to the class.
